Never in my wildest dreams, I thought that running a small marketing agency would be a hectic job. I always thought of designing creative ads, making marketing strategies, and acquiring a lot of customers. However, things like managing finances, operations, and frequent meetings were part and parcel of running a business.
Nevertheless, I simply couldn’t ignore these things so I took a little help from SaaS products. There was one thing I should’ve done before equipping my business with all the SaaS products. I knew SaaS products needed an internet. But as soon as I went for my third SaaS tool, my internet simply couldn’t bear the weight.
So, a reliable and quality connection, for instance, Xfinity Internet should be by your side before you start using SaaS products.
Now, let’s get started:
Retable
Although I was happy that the clients loved my work and kept coming back to me, as my clientele grew in numbers, I knew managing all of them would be a tough job with limited resources.
One day while discussing this problem with my team, I was suggested to look for project management tools. Well, I was in a dire situation not because I had few clients but because I had so many that managing them efficiently was becoming a problem. So, I wasted no time and found some really helpful SaaS tools but found Retable as the best. Now, let’s see how:
Retable provided me with different views of tasks and projects at hand like Kanban View, Calendar View, Chart View, and more. Well, not only projects but a detailed window of what clients wanted and how much time I had to complete them. Finding all these things under a single platform surely helped me to be more organized in my work.
Notta
Notes-taking wasn’t my forte. Even in college, I would take my friend’s notes and ace the exams. However, I wasn’t no longer a college student, and meeting notes had replaced class notes.
In some meetings, I wasn’t able to write down everything because I was too slow. Moreover, while taking notes, I was solely focused on the task and sometimes, couldn’t really comprehend what my client demanded. As I was taking notes, I didn’t ask for clarification because I always thought I had written everything down.
In the end, my team suffered the most because they couldn’t understand my incomplete sentences. Actually, even sometimes, I couldn’t understand them. As I was close to my tipping point, I finally decided to go for a tool that would solve this problem once and for all.
Luckily, I found Notta, and in no time, it became my notes-taker. Now, I don’t have to write anything in a meeting. Notta writes down everything, even the informal chats, generates a meeting summary, and saves it in a cloud. All I need is to turn Notta on before a meeting.
Although there are many exceptional features in Notta, the best feature for me is how accurate the meeting minutes are. My employees can easily get an idea of what was the meeting agenda, what points were discussed, and what’s the outcome.
Freshbooks
Just like note-taking wasn’t my specialty, numbers always dreaded me. I loved counting pennies or bills, and nothing more than that. However, things had changed, and I had to handle my business financials.
While I could’ve gone for an accountant, I was more tilted to using a SaaS product. My prior experience was excellent with SaaS products and that’s how I started my search for a finance tool.
So, after much research, I finally found Freshbooks. It was exactly what I was looking for and had everything I needed in a financial tool. Firstly, it could keep a record of my transactions, and manage balance sheets, invoices, payments, subscriptions, and other miscellaneous expenses. Secondly, it could generate financial reports like a breeze, something that would take me ages to do.
Also, it’s a must-have tool for someone who doesn’t have a basic knowledge of finance or accounting. Using it is way too easy for anyone and believe me, Freshbooks has worked like a charm for my business.
Hootsuite
Well, even I needed to market my agency to get clients.
I had two options: either hire marketers to handle my accounts on 6 different social platforms or go for a SaaS product (which cost me less than half the amount of hiring a social media team). So, I opted for the second option.
For this specific purpose, I use Hootsuite. It’s a SaaS-based social media management platform that does the whole work of a team. From automatically posting things across the platforms to helping me identify the trends, it’s a blessing.
Not only this, I can see my business’s social media analytics with a single click. All I have to do is to go to the central dashboard of this tool. There, it’ll show how much traction my posts are generating, and how many clicks, reactions, shares, or comments I have across different platforms. This way, I can know what my potential clients are looking for, and based on its analytics, I can make informed decisions.
To sum up, SaaS products are cost-efficient and get the work done without any hassle. Also, I’ll admit that these tools do more work than I do. So, if you’re running a business and want to shift some of your responsibilities to someone reliable, look no further than SaaS products. They’ll do as you say and produce results as you want. Good Luck!
